King Kutter tiller depth adjustment

I just bought a King Kutter clone marketed by Agrisupply and it is exactly the same way. I have two more holes/depth adjustments that I could use to lower the tiller but the side gear box gets in the way. I just set it as low as it would go and matched it up the same on the other side. It seems to work fine. I can get till up a spot that is wrist deep and as pretty as you have ever seen.

Another agreement. Shoes don't seem to matter much after first pass. I just have to learn the technique so my plot dosen't end up full of waves.

I bought a County Line tiller from TSC last year and like your KK, the last set of holes I can't get to but like everyone has said so far, just till it a few times and it will till a little further down each time. Also play around with your top link a little. Mine actually tills deeper with the top link shorter.

I agree with wveryone else here. Only purpose I see for the shoes is to set on when parked (unhooked) and keep soil from wearing into bottom of the gear case.
