king kutter tiller

Thanks for the reply. Hard numbers scares me, because nobody really knows what it means. Some wisdom and knowledge in the real world goes a long way, than some great estimate in the lab. I asked my KK dealer all kinds of question, but never specifically ask if the TG-60 would work on my MF 1529. I would rather learn from wisdom, than my own mistakes. Hopefully my decision to buy a TG-60 is not a mistake.

It will not be a mistake

Just to add to this............I watched my BIL take that 790 with the 72 inch KK tiller into the field. Ground that hadn't been worked for at least 10 years. He dropped that tiller into the ground............and tilled 5 acres, rocks and all. I thought he was going to bust the tiller to pieces, (shoulda seen all the rocks) but all it did was put marks on the case where the rocks hit. I was impressed.

Thanks Don
You can't fine real world set-up in no cataloge (excuse spelling)
It sounds like I should have no problem tearing the ground up...
Got grass to sow and gardens to till.

Another happy customer with a KK 72" tiller! Built like a tank but for the price of a jeep!

I just sold my M-F 1528 gear, 28.4 h.p. with 24.5 p.t.p. h.p. I ran my 60" KK
for over 5 yrs. tractor ran it just fine. the 60" KK has been used on all kinds of ground. I think the KK is one of the only tillers, I would call bullet proof.
your 1529 will run this tiller just fine. you just can't rush it with your tractor and you'll be just fine for many yrs. My 1528 is in someone elses place but I sill use my 60" kk tiller on my new M-F 1643. good luck with your choice.

That some good news! I'm glad to hear that it will work. If I knew what I know now, I definately would have gotten 1600 series or even go full size. I can only dream right now.

I am considering buying a king kutter tiller for my John Deere. Does anyone have one or know if they are any good? I appreciate any info. Thanks.
I been do'n the reserch work on what tiller to upgrade too.... for a while now:D The KK keeps coming out on top being bullet proof, affordable and in the rare occasion of needing parts KK incorporated is easy to get a hold of and parts easily aquired.

Second is the tarter tiller. It has good reviews, but lacks the long time reputation of the KK.

I have a local tarter dealer also, not the case with the KK.

I will be surprised if I end up buying a different brand of tiller outside of these two...
