JC,

Looks great man! I have to do sort of the same stuff... ole Ohio... Where is spring?

Thanks Max. It was money well spent. I just hope the critters out there don't help themeseves to %95 of my crop:(

I'm really okay with splitting it right in the middle 50-50. I just hate to put my Elmur Fudd's hat on and watch my garden all night with a shotgun in my hand. I suppose it would be just fine to have "an ole yeller dog" to keep them coons away and give them a " mortal fit":D :D

Mine sits outside also. There is nothing wrong with leaving them outside.

I would say you need to check the slip clutch, but you'd need to do that even if it sat inside.

Oh man... I know that it has been a while... BUT... I finally got around to mounting the tiller and drive shaft in, everything went pretty smooth and I was VERY pleased to find out that I did not have to shorten the shafts for my TC34DA. The only thing that was tricky was getting every thing lined up right, that shaft is heavier then it looks, that's for sure... So... Got everything lined up, bolts tight, went over the clutch, double checked that bad-boy and made sure the little PTO cover chains were hung properly... I also made sure to do all the normal junk, aka, lube and fill everything, I didn't know how much grease to shoot into the right side bearing (at least I think it was the right side if you are looking at the tiller from the back) I just held the trigger down on my air operated grease gun until it seemed to start backing up, sloping grease, etc...

Test time was going to be a 4 pass 60 foot long by 10 foot wide section. There was mixed dry clay and nasty rocks (some small, some a little larger, nothing bigger then say a baseball... at least I hope not ;) ). Everything seemed to go very well. I would set my PTO speed and use a low gear, just creeping slowly. The only issues I had was the occasional shake or jar from it grabbing something weird or running into too many stones (I guess there are quite a few buried next to my garage). Either way, this thing works like gang busters and is going to save me a lot of time. It does an excellent job when going into clean soil, leaves a really nice tilled path, even in the hard dried clay. I look forward to using it inside my barn, which may be this weekend if the weather is okay. I've also noticed that it seems to be better setting the depth at a less aggressive level and just make another pass, depending on how smooth you want the dirt to be. So, over-all, I'm very happy with this unit and I'm looking forward giving it another go. I'll try and grab some pictures later on this week, we likey pictures... :)
