King Kutter

My neighbor has a KK and likes it a lot. It is a pretty tough machine. Let me tell you a quick story about how tough it really is....

It seems the very first time he used it on his kubota L225, he somehow managed to install or hook his kk mower up in such a way that he engaged his mower for the very first time and LOWERED the mower right down on top of his drawbar.

His drawbar had a 2" ball hitch installed. That KK whacked the ball right off. He showed me the remains of his drawbar. Wow, a scary sight. The mower had a huge chunk out of the blades but he still uses it this way.

obtw, he says he never found the ball either.

Those kk mowers are TOUGH!

To go easier on an underpowered mower, you can also raise the heigth. Say cut it at 8-10" one day. Let that dry out a few days, then cut it to 4 or 6". From then on, one pass should do it.
