Kioti as OEM for John Deere?

I explain it as not totally accurate. It is sourced in Korea but not made in Korea. I have that same brochure on my wall next to my desk. We got it from the horses mouth at the factory in Nov.'12. Believe what you want but I would say I have a little better info., actually being there. That's what I love about this site, you tell the truth and or facts and they still argue w/ you.

First of all, you are from Northern Europe? Where in Northern Europe as i did not recognize that country name so I am assuming it is not a country.

In your area there is a place called Mannheim Germany that you are more familiar with than I am. They build 6R tractors there and have built John Deere tractors for the European market since the 1950s so I understand when they purchased Herman Lanz out who also built the famous Lanz Bulldog tractor. If in your travels in Europe you could stop at a John Deere dealership to validate the Daedong claim (I have a hard time to read the website), and find it to be true, I truly would be shocked.

There is also a cab and operator station factory in Germany for John Deere. Perhaps you should see if you could have a tour there?

Allot of older USA tractors where made in Mannheim Germany. My John Deere 2155 was made there.

Deere is starting to make allot of tractors in other countries and I suspect more and more manufactures will do this. I believe I read a while back that if memory servers me wright that Deere will make a version of the 8000 series in Europe for the European market. I think the main reason companies are doing this is because from what I have been reading in the last couple years shipping stuff to other countries is hardly an cheaper any more than producing it in your own Is what I have been reading.

I believe there is more crossover than we'd believe.
Heck smaller units like the lawn tractors are often rebranded MTD products with minor changes like body tin/plastic seats etc.
I had a Deere 510 3cyl that had a German engine in it. From the manual it was also available with a 4cyl engine.
Many CUTs sport Mitsubishi engines including Ford (new Holland).
Many brands also sport Yanmar engines.

Should not be a surprise as it is all economics, like who is more efficient in a particular segment of the industry.
The automotive industry is full of it. Transmissions, differentials etc are crossed over in all major brands. That is what SAE is all about.
SAE is industry compatibility standards.
Most American auto enthusiasts know the compatibility of components and that started with the hotrodders.
I am aware that some Deere excavators are in fact pure Hitachi rebranded in all mechanical aspects.

In the case of tractors it is just that we generally are not as well informed, but slowly getting there.
Also I don't believe Europe and Asia go by SAE standards as we know it.

Somewhere in my library I have an older issue of SAE standards that is very interesting reading. It covers everything from hardware to rims bell housings flanges bearings splines U-joints etc etc.

One example is the famous 4 cyl Jeep engine. Actually Continental flat 4 (and versions) is also the 4 cyl used in old Ford tractors.(8N, i believe). It also was a common marine engine.
