Kioti Backhoe

Good looking rig! On the thumb is it much trouble to adjust? When not in use how is it kept out of the way? I never gave one a thought but it sure looks very useful.

It's easy to use and lifts all the way up when you are just digging. There are 7 positions on it so if not need the thumb basically will be parallel to the boom. In the pis you can see the holes and the pin, if you need more or less thumb that's how you adjust it. :)

A Woods dealer told me thay didn't have a frame mount kit for a CT 225, that I would Have to use the 3 point. I quit looking then. Do you have a frame mount for the woods BH?

The sub frame and backhoe came with my tractor, all new, almost 4 years ago. Would be really surprise if a frame that fits a kioti will not fit a bobcat, they are the same machine just painted a different color. :)

I am trying to decide on a BH70 or 80 for my bobcat ct230. Kioti's ck30.
If you had it to do over again would you still buy the 70 or would you opt for the 80. There is only $450 difference between them.
You might want to look into the Woods BH80-X. Do the cross reference and see if your hydraulics 12.7 GPM will run it-pretty sure it will. That hoe is now being offered with an optional factory installed hydraulic thumb.;)

Just as another point of info, I've seen that Michigan Iron offers some pretty beefy looking thumbs for the Kioti backhoes. They can be used as a manual thumb, or you can choose to add on a hydraulic kit later. They offer both bolt-on and weld-on models. See details here:

Disclaimer: I have no business interest, and no experience with these. I'm just looking at getting a Kioti, and would need as thumb, and these looked like a great option for the Kioti BH. :)

I have the BH-70X and you've just ruined my day. Only $450, really???!!!! I was going to go with the Kioti hoe until I started asking about a thumb and my dealer started telling me all about the Woods bh. I never asked about the cost of going to the BH-80X or if the CK30 could handle it, but there's no question GO FOR THE BH-80X for only $450 (what percentage more is that anyway?).

Other than being stronger and being able to dig deeper, I believe it also has the variable swing control (or whatever they call it) and that would be a nice feature.

Didn't mean to wreck your day. Sorry!
That is what I have decided as well!

I emailed Woods through their website and they confirmed that the 4 point frame mount for the Kioti ck 25,30 and 35 was the appropriate one for my Bobcat CT 230.
The part number is 1011425. Since the 225-235 are the same frame it probably will work for you. You should verify that for yourself.

The BH 80 requires 5-7 GPM so I think I'll be ok.

I have a CK 30 with the Kioti backhoe. Last summer I added the hydraulic thumb from Michigan Iron. What a GREAT addition! Well worth the money.

Now I not only have a great dealer - Upper Valley Tractor in New Hampshire - I also have a great source of attachments - Michigan Iron and Equipment - made especially for Kioti tractors. And both of these dealers have outstanding customer service too!

The longer backhoe will have more reach too,,,I know DUH! Depth was never a problem at my place. Dig down a few feet and hit bedrock but reach was another story.

Does anyone know what the price of a backhoe would be for the CK20 (Kioti brand vs Woods).
Is it cheaper to by the TLB or buy the tractor and loader and add the backhoe later?
