I believe the ck 25 was a bit under powered that's one of the reasons kioti replaced it with the ck 27 with 28 hp. Don't forget that ck 25 is a very heavy tractor. I believe quit a bit heavier than the comparable tractors in this size and generally has less hp. plus this one had loaded tires and bushog. I would venture to guess that if the other tractors tested had equal weight, traction,hp and were hydro results would be similar.
I have a CT 225 (almost a twin to CK 27)with r4s and hydro, there are times when I can get enough traction when using dif lock and weight on hitch to hit hydro relief or stall engine.

My Kubota L3240 has R4 loaded tires, a loader, and a backhoe. This brings the weight up to over 8,000 pounds. I'm guessing the kioti weighs about half that and only has 7 less hp.

Kioti CK 25 weighs in about 3000 pounds just tractor add approximately 900 for loader loaded tires at 6 to 800 for the bushog u tell me maybe 800? Depending on brand.
Total weight= somewhere around 5400 pounds plus operator.

I think 800 for the tires is a bit much. The tires on my Kubota are considerably larger and only have 900 pounds of rim guard. The bush hog is a cheap one and 500 pounds would be pretty close. My Kubota weighs 3,153 just the tractor. The loader weighs 1163 w/o the bucket the bucket weighs about 300 the grapple is even heavier. The backhoe&subframe is about 2500 plus 130 for a bucket. The tires have 900 pounds of fluid in them. This brings the weight to 8,146. We will go with the 5,400 pound estimate for the kioti which I think is a bit much. We will consider the gross hp on the Kubota is 34 vs 25. This gives the Kubota 9 more hp to spin 2,700 extra pounds.

To me that's asking a lot of 25 hp. And 7 hp is quite a bit when we're only talking 25 horse. Plus not trying to stir trouble but unless you have a cab or some other added weight I think the L3240 weighs in around 3400 # and depending on what backhoe add 900 to 1500. Loader and filled tires should be close to same on either tractor. That's only about 500-1000# difference and I think the L3240 has more like 34 hp so that's 9 hp difference.
My intention is not to offend I know the L is A awesome tractor. The CK line of tractors are very good but they needed two up the horsepower on the line and that's what they did. I think 30 or 35 hp. Is the lowest you can get currently in that frame size. All that said proper maintenance will be important especially on and underpowered machine.

I edited my last post. The Kubota has 9 more hp to spin 2,700 more pounds. Any tractor regardless of hp should be able to spin the wheels in low gear with a reasonable amount of ballets.

Yes I agree it seems you see more hydrostatic tractors with this problem than gear. 9 hp is very substantial. And wow not sure what kind you have but that must be one heck of a Backhoe. I think a Woods BH 90 is in the neighborhood of around 1600 pounds and those are built pretty stout. Looks like the Kubota L got it right getting power to the wheels.

I am assuming gl means glide shift. My grandpas old L2550 was a glid shift. I didn't mind the glide shift, but the shuttle shift is a POS. The old L2550 GST passed this test in 5th gear. My grandpa traded the L2550 for a L3800 HST last week. I will go test it out this week. Forget the turbo. A V12 Cat should do the trick.
