Kioti CK2510 50hr service - $$$

I just went over 50hr of use on my Kioti CK2510.

I called the dealer to see about getting the 50hr service and they quoted me $650.00.

Wow. That seems high, but then I have not done it before so I don't know.

I can get the full set of filters on Amazon for about $125, and all of the fluids locally. I do my own auto maintenance. I assume I can do this as well??

It doesn't affect my warranty if I do it myself does it? $650.00 is a huge hit for me right now.

would have helped to list what is required for the service. should all be simple services at 50hrs.
Do it yourself. Just document everything you did and receipts for parts.

Engine oil and oil filter, Trans filter, HST filter, Fuel filter, Clutch pedal play, brake pedal play, fan belt tension.

sounds like a filter kit, 5-6 qts of motor oil, maybe a qt or two of hyd oil plus 1-2hrs of labor.

Are you delivering the tractor to dealer or is dealer picking up the tractor, servicing, and returning it to you?

If dealer will transport, what is the distance from your property to the dealer?

No, that price is for me to deliver it to them. But they also clean it, torque bolts, etc. Still.... $650 is a bit out there...

I know it's a lot of money but;the proper filters/fluids will be used and no questions if a warranty issue comes up.Next one should be a couple years away under normal use.First service is very important.

owner can legally do all warranty work and not affect warranty. i do all my own warranty work but purchase all filters and oil from local dealer. i did let dealer replace front bushings as his quoted price was very reasonable. i keep a good record of all products purchased and when installed with hours recorded. but even though im past any warranty period, i still keep the records.

since i live in the boonies i always keep 2 sets of all necessary service parts plus plenty of oil. i switched to full synthetics last time. couldnt be happier with tractor.

I'm afraid I just can't take the hit of $650 right now. I did find a set of factory filters (the whole 50hr set) for $122 on Amazon. I'll be using Rotella 15w40 for the engine, and since I only have to top off the trans fluid I will get some TRAVELLER UTF at Tractor Supply.

Is your tractor under factory warranty?If so I would pay the $650.I could never figure out why folks pay $20,000-$40,000 then decide they cannot maintain it $$ wise but they have money for cell phones, beer,ciggy butts and taking the family out to eat now thats taking a hit.LOL..
