Is your tractor under factory warranty?If so I would pay the $650.I could never figure out why folks pay $20,000-$40,000 then decide they cannot maintain it $$ wise but they have money for cell phones, beer,ciggy butts and taking the family out to eat now thats taking a hit.LOL..

When did he say it wouldn't get maintained if the dealer didn't do it ??
My tractor has never been back to the dealer and it is very well maintained

Just because its under warranty doesnt justify a $650.00 maintenance bill for basically a oil change and a couple filters. If the OP documents date, hours and parts with receipts then he has performed the 50hr service.
The only way that his warranty is ever in question is if he has done something directly that has made the tractor fail

My dealer gave me a similar quote and then went on to say, its really easy to do it yourself. They were including changing the hydro fluid. Not required in the manual, but recommended by the dealer. I purchased the filters through them for around $160. Probably about $250 total and about an hour or so to do it myself. If changing the hydro fluid, make sure you have a big enough pan to hold 5 gallons. And a good filter wrench.

Good luck with that.Have you priced hydro Kioti filters and hydro fluid lately?How about the shop hour prices be it tractor, cars or trucks around $80-$90 bucks per hour? How about the disposal of 5 gal.of hydro fluid plus the oil heck maybe just throw it on the driveway or side yard. My 400 service from my dealer was close to $575-$600 and well worth it.

Our dump takes used oil for free. An entire kioti filter kit is under $200. Retail. The 50 hour only requires new hyd filter, not hydro oil. And engine oil and filter, check front axle fluids. Its a pretty basic check. Even if you choose to replace 5 gal of hydraulic fluid theres another $100 or so.

No way id pay $650.

But than, i always do my own service work. Always use factory parts, no aftermarket. Never had any issues, ever, with warranty issues.

Agree $650 seems pretty darn high priced.I would say $500 is more in line.

I ABSOLUTELY will take care of my (big for me) investment. And I don't spend money on beer, ciggys, or dining out - which is how I had the money to pay for my tractor.

I will follow the manual, document the work and save the receipts.

I just recently bought this OEM Kioti filter kit from Ebay for my DK 35. $114 for the kit including shipping and tax.
Included OEM inner and outer air filters, oil filter, fuel filter and hydraulic filter

For a full service (doing it myself)
Filter kit $114
6 quarts oil (Rotella T-6 synthetic) $30
10 gal hydraulic fluid $100
half tube of grease $2
Total to do a full service myself = just under $250 and and 1 1/2 hours of my time.
