Kioti CK2510HST, CEL 34, won't start

This is for a 2014 Kioti CK2510 HST with 400 hours on it. We haven't ran it all winter (tried mid winter, but it was too cold and we don't have a patch heater on it). We are above 30F now and after letting the glow plug run, the engine won't even turn.

When I turn the ignition, I get CEL error code 34 (Magnetic Pick Up Sensor fault). Battery is at 12.1V.

Thoughts? Could there be something other than the sensor going on? Why would the PU sensor not let it start? What things should I check out before getting a new sensor?

The sensor must have something to do with the fuel system when running .......:confused3:

Did you use a load test meter or a standard volt ohm meter to get a reading of 12.1 v?

I used a standard meter (DMM). I went back out, had my son turn the ignition, and measured 11.1V across the battery. The voltage returned to 11.9 V when the ignition was turned off.

Should be over 12.6 or more......

Yes. Battery looks to be your problem.

Take the battery and put a load test on it or bring it to a parts store and have them test it............

12.1v at rest indicates just under 50% charged.

Thanks guys! I had charged up the battery right before all this too. It's the original, so I suppose it is due. Off to take it to the parts store...
