Comparison Kioti CK2610HST vs Kubota L2501HST : what am I missing?

I want to stay away from any active Tier4 mitigation, and I likely don't need anything bigger than 25hp anyway (7 acre, half bush/ravine). Honestly I could likely get by with a scut, but I did not like the feel of them when I demoed the MT125 and XJ2025 (too much vibration for me, and the ground clearance on the smaller scuts would likely be an issue). Also I have a (good) 54" mower, so I don't need the mid pto or to spend the 3k on a MMM.

I'd consider a 30-40HP pre 2016, as I hear they were also exempt at the time. But used Kubotas (and even Kiotis) around here, in the hour range I would consider (250 or less) make absolutely no sense financially, with the 72 month 0% offers on new tractors.

The CK2610 certainly gives you good clearance, width/stance and weight. Built with the same frame as the 35hp and 40hp CKs it is way more machine that the smaller SCUTs.

There is no doubt the other attachments will come along once you buy the tractor. Pallet forks, counterweight, and maybe a blade or box blade. Don't ignore those inevitabilities.

The suggestion above to consider PTO hp is a good point and you suggest a chipper. I just purchased a Woodland Mills WC68 for my 50Hp and love it. The WC46 4″ PTO Wood Chipper, Wood Chippers | Woodland Mills Canada model is specified for 15hp to 30hp so you would have no problem running a 4" chipper.

As for used, I would not be afraid to look at a machine with 500+ hours if the right unit presented itself.

Good luck shopping!

I think you need to sit in each tractor. Run the RPM to max and see which one is "quieter".
Also don't fall for the lift capacity numbers. If the hydraulic cylinders on the FEL are the same diameter and length on both then the lift capacity is the same.
I never considered a Kioti just because the nearest dealer at the time was 2-3 hrs from me.
Any reason you wouldn't go to a larger frame/HP?

There is a bit more to it than the size of the cylinders.

I would recommend you stick with what the manufacture says it can lift and stay away from crude guesses like suggested here!

Factory Kubota M7060 is a perfect example. The loader offers 2 separate cylinder lift points. The lower point offers a heaver lift capability of 459lbs with the same exact cylinder.

Based on your statement, it would make no difference at all for the lift capacity, only how high the loader will lift.

When angles are changed, lots of other things change also.

So if tractor A has a different loader geometry vs tractor B, it is possible that one tractor does indeed have a different lift capacity than the other even though it may have the same exact sized cylinder with the same exact PSI pump setting. ;)

Now compare the Kioti CK2610HST vs Kubota L2501HST.

Loader geometry, strength mounting points center of gravity have all been figured out already the numbers are published nothing for me to compare other than the published numbers!
A simple look at the spec sheet will give the OP all the “Correct” comparison he needs with no bull added!

Looks like a deluxe L series, like the B2650 with a larger frame. I would likely not want to pay for the deluxe features, one thing I liked about the L2501 was the "bare tractor" approach.

BTW looks like there is another point for the L2501 in the tally, this guy seems to make some interesting mods for the Kubotas, but nothing similar for the Kiotis.

What about cab are you getting one, Kubota may offer factory heat and AC where Kioti doesnt.

For me I played around with the B2650 and the Kioti 2510. Kioti was was nice and rated well. I ended with Kubota for what what its worth between these two machines. 1. I dont buy to much into the dealer thing but still want a dealer some what close to get parts if needed or pick their brains if needed. With that the Kioti dealer was small and only had a few machines, ironically 6 months after purchase they stopped selling kiotis and sell bobcat tractors. Other nice thing is you can pretty much Amazon and Ebay kubota parts.
2. I wanted a cab, Kubota came with heat and AC, kioti was only heat. Price difference was like 3k, but kubota did run an implement special and ended up with a free york rake, so pricing was really 2k difference.

IMO if the Kioti spec wise is better, has everything you want and you like buy it. But if they are really even and the only determining factor is price, maybe the 3k for the kubota might be worth it. There other things to considers how many speed HST, cruise control, telescoping arms in the back.

I had the same two options based on nearby location of two long-time dealerships. I chose Kioti because it was much more comfortable and more ergonomic for me. Plus it was $3,000 cheaper. I've been thrilled with it. Everything operates smoothly.

The Kioti does have more room for the operator verses the Kubota. They also have a nicer seat. I would assume the Kubota might have better resale value (if the OP ever sold it), but then we have a Kioti dealer nearby that has been selling the brand since the 90's and it is very rare that a used one ever comes up for sale. Kubota sells a lot more tractors so they do show up occasionally. I'm not sure that should be a huge concern for most of us. We'll let our heirs figure that one out.

I would also factor the dealer into the equation. How long have they been in business? Do they give the impression that they will be willing to help you after the check clears?
