Kioti CK30 or Kubota L3130

Prices are regional so your area may be different. I paid under $20k for the tractor and loader part of my package. In my area $17k will buy a GL3130 GST with the LA513, and a GL3130 HST LA723 runs $19.7k. Other folks have reported lower prices on the Kubotas, but check out the Kubota area and I think you’ll find the prices I was quoted to be about average.

If you are think of spending more the GL3830 is a nice tractor, but it isn't comparable to the DK45. The DK is 700 pounds heavier, has a 7 more horses, its loader has about 1.5 feet more lift and can lift 600 more pounds to max height. But the loader difference is actually greater as the lifting power decreases with height. While installing our front walk I used my tractor to unload 2900 pound pallets of pavers from my pickup bed. Thats more than the LA723's, and only slightly less the the LA823's, break out force. Transmission selection is the only area the DK 45 is lacking, there is no HST option.

In any case I think any of the tractors you’ve discussed in this thread would work well for you.

Interesting. The numbers you ran on the Kubota are in the ball park on what I've found in my area. Seems that locality wise, were not that far apart.

Like I mentioned, the quote I got on the DK45, I might of been talking to the wrong person (long story, but the phone call was VERY long with not a lot of talking).

I'll have to make the time and test drive one (DK45) to see how I like it.

If I could get a package like yours at the price you mentioned, it may be the way to go (under my 20k limit).

I'll be happy to tell you why I like the Kioti. I have a small LB1914 that I bought used and it is a little power house. It has been pretty well trouble free. I have had a few problems but when I got to the root cause it was a simple fix. I don't baby my equipment and it takes it without fail. My wife calls it my wannabe bull dozer. I have moved virtually everything under the sun with it, from rocks 32"X32"X32"X36"H Triangle shape, trees 20"dim. 30' long, and lots of dirt. I want to upgrade to a 30HP but the boss ("wife")has me on hold for now. I have priced several new tractors and all have been 2K to 5K higher than the Kioti of the same size. That price difference could be a lot of implements or a backhoe. My tractor is 10 years old and still going strong, if I get the same from a new one, It will probably be the last tractor I will need to buy. It has become my personal preference too. Sorry if I got a little long winded but you did ask. Tractors I have compared includes Kubota, Montana, Case Farmall, New Holland and Kioti. /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif
