Mowing Kioti CK30HST- What mower and back light?

Whats the opinion on the Kioti brand Rear Finish Mower 60"
Are there others better (Woods, Rhino?)
Kiotis is powder coated which I think would be a plus
and no extra shipping cost obviously if tken with tractor purchase.
Anyone bought Kioti's rear light?
Is there a predrilled location?
How much? Was it worth it heavy duty wise? /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif
I have a Warn brand fog light new in box I could use

While I don't have one, I've helped assemble one, and I've seen it in use, I found the Kioti finish mower to be quite good. I used to know which Italian company makes them, but I just can't remember right now. They seem to be quite sturdy and have a good pulley system. The paint, as you say, is powder coat, and looks excellent.
I wouldn't hesitate to go with Kioti, Woods, or Bush Hog for that matter. I've seen lots of many year old Woods mowers still going strong. There must be something right about them.
Maybe someone else has the rear light. I made my own using a TBN poster's suggestion of using a MIG welder grounding magnet and a flood light. I run it off a twelve volt cig lighter outlet that I installed under the seat. I have the light on a coiled cord and can put it all over the tractor depending on my needs.

I have sold a lot of Kioti finish mowers and they do not come back. The are built as good as the competition and last. Just make sure that the wheel pins will not come out because you will loose your spacers when you lift the mower. There is a predrilled hole in the cross bar of the tractor for a light. The new DK models come with a rear light from the factory.

At the risk of sounding stupid and not having a mower in front of me--whats the wheel pins??

Sorry, you don't have a mower do you. The finish mower has 4 wheels on it with a pin at the top of the spindle to keep the spindles from falling off when you lift the mower up. All 4 wheels have this spindle that rotates and uses this pin at the top to keep them in place. Just use wire ties or wire to keep them in when you mow under brush and trees. Good luck.

After viewing the pre delivery tractor, i see theres a pre punched hole on the left rear behind the seat and two wires directly up under behind it for the light----not sure how they're powered up yet---on with lights or what. Will see when it arrives.
Im gonna use the Warn fog light I have (clear).
I may get all fancy and wire up a Tridon $29.00 alternating flasher to the amber running lights, just because, for warning purposes. If it doesn't take 20 hours labor and cause other lighting conflicts /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif.

My CK30hst has several wires coming out of that plastic loom you found. One wire was always hot, two with the key on, and the other double pigtale was hot when the headlights were turned on. I'm not sure yet how I want to wire the rear light.
My amber lights only work as turn signals and as hazard lights with the hazard switch. The red work as running lights and brake lights. If this is what you were thinking of, the job is already done.
