Congrats on the new XR. I think you made a very smart move by moving up to the 40hp size. It's just a lot more tractor. Sounds like you got a good deal.

we went back and forth between the xr3037 and the 4040 for weeks... its only a couple of HP but its a much bigger tractor... the biggest thing to us was the extra ground clearance... it might only be a couple of inches be it seemed like a lot...

as everyone tell me no one ever says I wish I had a smaller tractor a couple of years down the road

I am a Mahindra guy, have 2 of them and they are great machines. If I was in your shoes, I would be looking at the Kioti and LS machines. Also, bump up a frame size and go with a 40hp machine. HUGE difference in capabilities for only a little more money.

well back to my old thread... we just ordered a LS xr4040... I figured you only live once... got it with loader, a LS 66" box scraper, loaded tires, 50 hour maintenance and delivered 50 miles out to our place out the door for $23,500... a bit more then others get around the country but we got NYS taxes to deal with... next year will get the backhoe... planning on getting a pto chipper this year as well...

we're going on vacation for two weeks this weekend... it will be delivered when we get back...

Congrats...that's a very nice machine, and it's very unlikely you'll ever regret stepping up to that frame size. Pics when it's delivered please!

Not that I'm particularly close to you (Michigan) but I may be selling my Wallenstein 4" 3pt chipper this year, as I'd like to upgrade to a larger hydraulic one. I bought the chipper in Blue back when I had my LS R4041. Send me a msg when you're looking to buy and maybe we can figure out a price that works for both of us.

Thank for the chipper heads up... we're leaning towards a wood maxx. They're local to us but if we decide to go in another directing I'll keep you in mind.

I'll be posting a thread in the LS forum but I figured I'd finish this thread with a video of the new tractor. The dealer was late and I did not have much time before I needed to be somewhere else... I'll be posting a full overview video (that would probably be redundant to people here) sometime next week.

The angle of the photo is an optical trick. Makes the bucket look huge... The 4040 comes with the 2025H in the back like a spare tire
