Kioti CK3510HST antifreeze?

Recently I found my engine coolant quite low I couldn't find any leaks and no mixing in the oil. I was in the middle of a job after a snow storm so I topped it off with whatever I had what is the proper type that should be in these engines?

The red stuff that is coming out now is compatible with the green and not as sweet.

I use green 50/50 premixed in all of mine. My skidsteer uses coolant every time I blow snow so I keep antifreeze close by and top it off each time before I use it



Check the specs in your manual, of course.

What’s (was) the color of the antifreeze that was in there?

yep, work machine really hard and it will puke to keep pressure under control and leaving a low level......

Recommend buying the 50/50 pre-mix of what ever color you have.

The overflow tank in mine was pretty nasty so, it was a good time to remove clean out and top off.

The gunk in the tank tells me this fall will flush with demin water and fill with 50/50 pre-mix of whatever my F-250 takes.
Observe the gunk build up in the overflow tank and see how well it performs...
Not a wet sleeve engine so cavitation not an issue.

As mentioned, it's not a wet sleeve engine so you can use whatever you want. Just remember that certain antifreezes don't mix well. I've been using regular Prestone for the past 15 years. More important is to change it when needed. I do mine every 5 years.

Yeah I have Prestone pre-mix 50/50 I was fortunate I had some as did some servicing on my quad a while ago so I still had some in the jug. I didn't know it would blow out any antifreeze I ran a John Deere excavator a few years ago that would do that it was pretty frustrating we thought there was something wrong with it and then a mechanic told us 'its by design'. Thanks guys.

Thanks for that. Now I know why mine was showing up low. I have 3 gallons just hanging around waiting to be used.

There is a Youtube video somewhere, where a guy tests rubber coolant hoses vs silicone. He connected both types of hoses, filled with coolant and pressurized. He taped the process in a timelapse and it did show that the silicone hose is leaking fluid over time. Now during normal operation, it will evaporate and you don't even recognize it.

Cooling systems that are set up properly don't puke.

wish I was smart enough to splain it to you Lucy.....all I know is that when working the snot out of the machine coolant is all over the outside of the overflow tank collecting pasture clippings and dirt.....heh...so that's about as scientific as ah can gets....
oh and when the unit cools the level is low....maybe some shade tree engineer can splain it to the both of us in layman terms.....lol....

Your either overfilling the system or your getting engine compression into the cooling system.
