CX2510 with FEL
Does anyone know what battery brand Kioti uses? My first Kioti I purchased had an Interstate battery (kioti CS2410) and every kioti review I watch also has a nice Interstate battery.

My brand new CX2510 has a battery with no name (just Black) and it appears to have a Jan 2021 date written on the top. 01 21 is what's actually written up there and I just bought the Tractor a few weeks ago in Jan 2022.

Thanks Guys

You'll have to present any questions on this to your dealer. Since the tractors are manufactured overseas I don't know if shipping regulations permit them to be shipped with batteries, fluids, etc. Those may all be added locally.

I wouldn't expect the dealer to be truthful unfortunately. That kind of question would only serve to reduce or eliminate any trust we had between us. Either he switched the battery and knows I caught him or he didn't switch the battery but now thinks i don't trust Him.

TBH I Don't trust any kioti dealer I've ever met. I've never met a John deere or Kubota dealer so I can't compare. But I've had 2 very very major problems with my CX2510 that pretty well prove that they did not conduct any sort of pre delivery inspection before I picked it up.

I don't know how Kioti ships. The only new tractor I've ever purchased was my Kubota. It is delivered as a kind of kit at the dealer. He installs the wheels, loader, etc. That's why it's a good idea to follow the fifty hour checklist and check the torques. I don't really know where fluids, batteries, etc. come in but I suspect they come at the same time. Unless Interstate batteries are sold in Korea I doubt they are included with the tractor. Your dealer may have increased his profit margin slightly by installing a brand X battery.

I believe there is a thread somewhere here talking about new Interstate batteries being much less dependable than they used to be. That could be why your dealer didn’t install a Interstate battery.

I wouldn't worry so much about the battery being an off brand meaning the dealer is trying to pull a fast one. It could be the fact that Interstate can't supply enough batteries for demand and Kioti switched to another battery to meet supply for new products. And with the supply shortage I wouldn't be surprised with older batteries being put into equipment. Heck I have seen year old batteries at my local Walmart over the past couple years. And we are talking about the type of batteries that are supposed to be stock rotated every 90 days. I like to find batteries that are within 3 months of manufacturer date but may not be possible with todays supply issues.

My Kioti (purchased in 2001) came with a battery that said "New Castle battery".
I believe it was a dealer installed battery.
Lasted me 11 years.

I was kind of focusing on kiotis manufactured more recently then 2001.

I would like to purchase an additional kioti for a property we have up north and I'd like to know if this is the dealership to do that with.

I purchased this Kioti tractor on the internet and over the phone, I paid full price and never asked for a discount because I was paying in cash, the dealer didn't offer to give me a run down on the tractor when I picked it up (covid might be the reason), and this one I'll take the blame for; I never asked for a block heater to be installed when I was arranging the purchase, I assumed that on a diesel tractor sold in Canada that a block heater would be standard as it was on my last kioti purchased new (but I'll accept the blame for this one, since it clearly says on kiotis website that the block heater is optional. And the final straw was that the dealer installed 3rd function didn't work when I got it home, requiring a 5 hour round trip back to the dealership (I had the block heater installed during this visit so I could try and convince Myself that this wasn't a wasted trip) to correct 2 hydraulic lines incorrectly installed by them under the tractor and then a week later when I was finally ready to run my rear PTO the selector lever for the rear PTO wasn't adjusted properly and wouldn't fully engage the PTO. This last problem I was able to fix myself by unclipping the adjustment rod and giving it 3 full 360° turns to shorten it to allow full engagement.

These last 2 issues tell me that the dealership is not testing the tractor before allowing Customer pick up. 1 on an accessory purchased from them and installed by them (3rd function). And the other a bad adjustment from the factory.

I paid full price for the block heater to be installed i was not offered and i never asked for a discount on this to help with my 5 hour drive to fix their problem, But I would have either installed one myself or found a local garage to install if I hadn't needed to take it back for the malfunctioning 3rd function.

And I never received an apology for either big problem.

And what scares me is that this dealership is still the best Kioti dealership I've encountered in my corner of the World.

A dealer used to be someone that you built up trust with. They had your back and as long as they did you would be loyal to them. Maybe I'm too sensitive or old or whatever but I am very disappointed in the state of Kioti dealers.

For the record I am a big fan of Kioti tractors. I feel that kioti offers an awesome value especially when compared to the other orange tractors and the green company.

I guess I just long for the past.

The tractor is shipped on a pallet on a flatbed trailer . The dealer installs the tires, loader, and accessories, and does the pre delivery prep.

You’re complaining about Kioti, the Corporation, but every one of your issues is a dealer issue.

The dealer is a franchisee, and doesn’t work for Kioti. He’s an independent businessman.

Your issues fall right into the discussion of mom and pop businesses vs larger mega dealers, though. It’s pretty rare where an independent businessman has a detailed quality program in place. Larger outfits at least have the framework to implement this type of program. Small businesses are resource limited.

I don't believe that I complained about Kioti at all. I was very clear about my love for the kioti brand and my dislike of the Kioti Dealers that I've met. The only real complaint that I have is the general state of affairs regarding the Dealers that I've met and spoken with. Please re-read my earlier statements in full before replying.

And independent Business People CAN have a very detailed quality control program. If independent Business People were incapable of such relative to their (small) size, then we'd have very few electricians or plumbers, or any other safety critical trades, run by mostly independent Business People.
