Dealer Kioti dealer question on tractor iventory?

/ Kioti dealer question on tractor iventory? #11
I am a new Kioti dealer in north Texas(Cooke County) and yes it is Kioti's policy to have at least 6 tractors on your lot. In fact that is how I got the dealership. The former dealer was not willing to carry 6 tractors. He had been selling Kioti for the last 3 years. I have combined an existing equipment rental business with the tractors. The only line I will carry is Kioti. I think they are the best cut's on the market today. My first order was for 9 tractors basically because of the extra discount.First order was for:
DK65 cab
DK55
DK45
DK40
CK30 Hst
CK30 shuttle
CK25 Hst
CK25 shuttle
LK3054
I guess time will tell if I made a good decision to take the dealership.

Mavrik02, I feel bad that there is not a helpful Kioti dealer in your area. It hurts the rest of us dealers to be painted with the same brush. I can't imagine not allowing a cutomer to test drive a tractor!!!! In fact, I insist they test the tractor because I want them to be happy with their tractor purchase. We are not too far away from you in Centre Co. PA. If we can help you in any way, just let me know.

Mr. Weldon,

Thank you for your reply and it is good to know you are there if I need you. I ended up purchasing my CK30HST from one of the dealers that participate in this forum and am very happy I did so. He was a great help at the time and has since continued to help me when necessary. I do wish Kioti would develop a local dealer that put some effort into the tractors. The dealer I spoke of is 15 minutes from my house but from my perspective certianly isn't doing anything to help Kioti grow.

Thanks again!

Fred

The dealer right down the road from me must have stocked 45 BX series tractors. It was not a great year for the sub compact market around here and they still have 30 left, now with expired terms. I always get scared when I see preseason orders show up. We usually go into spring with about 150 in the crates and 50-60 out on the lot. If its a bad year we could end up loosing every dollar we make in interest charges.

You won't be sorry for taking on Kiotis, they're a great tractor.
But you already know that or you wouldn't have signed on. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Yeah, when these tractors start rolling in during the winter you can't help but worry about being able to sell them all. With internet shopping, cross shopping, etc. the days of making huge profits on tractors are over. Back when all we did was sell used tractors is was common to make between 2500-4000K on each sell...not the case these days.

Not to mention that each manufacturer has a preseaon order program and to get the best rates and be able to compete in todays competative market you have to get the lowest rates possible. It can be a pain at times. /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

Thought everyone would get a kick out of seeing how prepared I was when I received the first load of tractors. My rep forgot to tell me that I needed a loading ramp. I'm sure
OSHA would have stopped me dead in my tracks.
