Get the best deal you can on the 40 hp model.
I would kill for an extra 5 hp sometimes.

That's what I was worrying about. I'm going to try and get to the dealer this week and see how Lon it's actually been there and how motivated they are too get rid of it.

Yea, I've always been one who looks for more power.... Cars, trucks, boats, bikes... Why not tractors too.

Buy the one you can get the best deal on. At less than 3K lbs, you're going to run out of weight long before power with a 5hp difference. The loader is the same for both, I believe. Work on getting a lower price on the 40. He's more likely to give a better deal on that one.

The only reason I'm considering the 40 is for PTO power. The tractor is wider than 5 feet but the 35 has 28 PTO hp. Most 6' snowblowers for example call for 30+.
