The key to an auction:
Know what something cost new
Know what something is worth in its current shape (assume it has some hidden problems)
Know what something is worth to you
Then pick the lowest of those numbers & don't go beyond that. I've seen way to many people pay over new retail for tired used stuff. Some people just get caught up & have to "win".
