Kioti DK35 vs Kuboat L3400

i have a dk35se and i have to tell you that it is an amazing machine. I also looked at Kubota very seriously, and was very close to making the purchase when, while visiting a friend in Dunmore, Pa, decided to check out the Kioti tractors at Wallace Tractor. I was looking at the different units available and Rick brough me to the dk35se. I was immediately impressed at the room while sitting at the controls. The tractor just felt perfect. I liked everything about it and realized that it just didn't compare to the Kubota. I bought it and have been pleased beyond expectations. it runs so smooth and quiet and has ample power. I can't think of a thing that i don't like about it.
Go for the Kioti. You will save money, have a better, more comfortable tractor and problems will be minimal, if any.

Hi PA Hayseed,
For the safest operation you will want to lock the 2 brake pedals together. If you are moving at a good clip and hit only 1 pedal you could be in for an adventure.

I have a DK-35 & have used it on our property for about 6 years, when I first purchased it I didn't get the front grill guard, dropped a log of of the front loader on to the grill & pulled the bolts off of the grill housing, plastic! The only fault I find with the tractor is the amount of plastic, I use it in the fields & woods, lots of low limbs & brush, so I am always knocking off the rear stop/flasher lights & the grill attachments. That being said it performs very well, use it with 2bottom plow, 3pt disc, bush hog 72", box grader, back blade. I move a lot of soil around with the front bucket, snow & gravel, never a problem.
I chose it over the Kobota because of the sturdier 3 PT hitch control arms (these are iron like all older large tractors where as the kobota's were like rebar!

Welcome. I have a 2006 DK 35 SE TBH with 1200hrs (used in firewood work, snow blowing, trenching, bush hogging and maple bush maintenance) and have a few minor problems (no major ones that I did not create) with this machine. My main issue is with clips, bolts, etc that need constant checking/replacing. Some big plus items, strong engine and hyd system, easy maintenance, small enough for tight forest work yet big enough for full duty work, . Many initially had issues with battery cables/ connections and also the ignition switch problems that have been addressed in these forums at length. I would buy another if/when in the market. Bob
