Traction Kioti DK50 will not go into 4-WD

   / Kioti DK50 will not go into 4-WD #21
Remember, mine is CK so may be somewhat different. It does not travel full 90 degrees. 4X Off, lever is horizontal at 9 o'clock position and engaged it is 11 o'clock.

The linkage I described is what is currently used on the CK models. Is a cast/machined shaft that goes into case and has a 90 degree offset for it to hook into the splined sliding collar. Guess Daedong upgraded the design to make the shaft stronger so the week point, if try to force it, is in the roll pin at the outside.
Sounds like someone tried to force yours without putting F/R lever in neutral or stepping on the clutch and bent something internal. Any chance there is an access or inspection plate on the gear case that you could get in there without splitting tractor. Pr0bably too much to wish for.

Would you happen to have any documentation that describes the shaft interaction inside the case? Any sort of diagram? I think you are right and the CK model and my 2003 DK 2wd/4wd actuators are the very similar. I am hopeful a diagram would confirm what we have deduced and the work-around won't fail in the dead of winter. It looks like it is going to cost me a substantial amount to repair this properly. I hope I can get by with the situation as it currently exists.
Thanks,
Mike
