What part of the design failed and why? Is this design used elsewhere? I am told is was stolen from Kubota.

You'd hafta answer CalG's question first to answer that.

Either the design for keeping the fluid cool under heavy load failed which overheated the fluid and destroyed the PTO clutch.

Or, the PTO clutch began slowly failing, slipping, creating heat and overheating the fluid.

Take your pick.

Not sure. I don't research Kioti failures. Although some posters on this thread actually believe this is all a big conspiracy. :)

We all use/stress our equipment in different ways. Some users more than others. When equipment fails it's generally accepted as "equipment failure" rather than "operator failure". I read the OP's posts and at least think I understood what was written. So I can only base an opinion on that information. Otherwise I'd be calling the OP's integrity into play. I have no support for taking that stand.
