Buying Advice Kioti DK90

Thanks Charley. I know that it is a big tractor, but with a 8' + blower on the back, I want to make sure I have plenty of power for any heavy/wet snows that I will be working in. Plus, I want to have the higher travel speed that the larger tractors have.

Where in Maine are you moving? I will be checking out Waterman's. They are about 45 minutes away. I also have a JD dealer that is about 30 minutes away, Hall Implement co. in Windham.

Yeah, I figured the block heater would be necessary. If I have my choice, and the money works, I really like the NH T6000. Very nice tractors, very comfortable for those 20+hr storms and well established.

I will be pulling close to 100 drives, so I need powerful and reliable both the machine and the dealer.

I am going to be working in Lewiston. I am trying to find a farm within 40 minutes drive and not having a whole lot of luck ( well, there is this place that needs complete restoration that i love...).

I need space for draft horses, hay, vegetables and wood. I was hoping for 40+ acres. Still a big downsize from the 102ac. we have here.

That I know, thanks! I can always plow when necessary, and then clean up with the tractor. Not hard to do if the route is extremely tight....which it is.

I used to plow a private road and bunch of driveways with a Jeep J10 and a 7ft meyers. Some storms would keep you going for 36 hours.

That is exactly why I am not plowing now. Two years in a row I had multiple storms where I was out for more than 40 hrs straight. That really sucked, though it wasn't equipment related, it was lack of good help. They never showed up or left early and screwed me. So different approach and a niche, hopefully I can pull this off and get a big chunk of the market quickly.

I don't live too close to Lewiston, so I can't help you with too much up that way, but I would think that you could ultimately find something. Do you need to live in the Lewiston area? Mid coast....I'm thinking Belfast area has a lot of area and the prices are cheap. Not very close to Lewiston though.

Good luck with your search, and if there is anything I can do to help from "in state", I'd be happy to.

Wish I could live over toward Belfast. There are a lot of really nice farms on the east side of the Kennebec. My brother lives in Montville on a small farm.

I am contracted to Lewiston so I'll figure it out. It's worth it to me and I am sure I'll find something.
