KiotiJohn,
I talked with Dave as well, and he gave me an MSRP of $26601 for the DK45, and $30,901 for the DK55. His quote was $22610 for the DK45, and $25866 for the DK55. This was with FEL and bucket, but without Bushhog.
The Kubota dealer in TN was talking $22,175 for the MX5000 with 702 FEL, and would give me the MX5000 with 702/bucket and a 7' Bush hog Squealer for $24,435. The Kubota dealer in JAX over on New Kings Rd. gave me MSRP's of $26,900 on the M4800 w/1002 FEL and bucket, and $25,200 on the MX5000 with 702FEL/bucket. He said he'd come off those prices when I was ready to buy, as he didn't know what incentives Kubota would have at that time, and if there was a price increase coming in January. This didn't please me, but at least he had a reason, and he let me drive the M4800.
The Mahindra dealer on Phillips Hwy in JAX quoted me $23,900 MSRP for the 4530 with FEL/bucket. He wouldn't give me his quote until I was ready to buy either, but I did get to drive the product.
The New Holland dealer in TN quoted me $21000 even for the TC40 w/16LA FEL and HD Qwik detach bucket, and $23,500 for the TC45 w/ 17LA/bucket combo. These were not MSRP's.
The reason for the question is that the only tractor that was more than the DK45 was the M4800, and that not by much, $300 or so. It was my impression, maybe mistaken, that Kioti and Mahindra were the sleeper bargains amongst tractors; i.e. alot of tractor for less money. So far that has not proven to be the case with Kioti, which surprised me, hence the question. I have no dog in the fight for any particular brand, and am trying to get the most bang for the buck. The only prejudice I have is against Chinese tractors, and that is a political/religious issue with me, not a quality issue.
