I'm considering a CK30 with a loader. What advice could you offer to someone considering the Kioti line?

It came down to the Kioti ck30 tlb version, and the New Holland TC-30 with loader and 8.5' back-ho. I liked both of them. There is more foot room on the tc-30 and more room at the backho station as well. Also the backho is 12" bigger on the tc-30, I know that was not in your comparison, but i figured I would throw it out there any way.

Try them both out, they will let you. I am new to this as well, But have been very surprised what i can do with the tc-30.

Also I like the dealer for the new holland better, and was located closer to me. This also makes a big dif.

hope you have fun with whatever you decide.

Id recommend the Ck30 , its a very capable machine. As long as you feel comfortable with your Kioti dealer, and he answers all your questions and concerns to your liking ,Id say go with the Kioti.. The tc30 is a basic tractor , the ck30 is a deluxe.. If you were intersted in a comparable New Holland youd have to look at the tc29 or tc31. Id test drive them both and really compare the machines in person. If you have any more specific questions, feel free to ask, there are many ck30 owners here and dealers whod be happy to answer your questions...In the end, buy the one that feels best for you.. Good luck

Correct, the TC30 is pretty basic, I think antiquated too. New Holland no longer makes the TC29 or TC31, they have upgraded the horsepower on both units and rebadged them TC32 and TC34. Of the machines, the New Holland clearly has the better loader, and has more PTO horsepower, but also comes at a higher price than most other brands. NH is not known for being a discount product. Kioti, in some regions of the country is sold well below the price of name brand machines. In other areas it has lost its price advantage.

No matter what machine you buy, make sure you buy from a good dealership, this is especially true for newbies to tractors or people who do not feel comfortable doing diesel engine maintainence. Walk around the shop area, make sure the mechanics are experienced in diesel engines. I've been to some dealers that are really just lawnmower dealers or garden centers who expanded into tractors, you probably want to shy away from those places. A good dealership should be able to make hydraulic hoses and carry spare hydraulic parts. Make sure the dealer has at least reasonable fabrication and welding equipment and qualified people to use it. Talk to the guys in the parts department, ask for a tour and get to know the people. If you sense that they are not professionals then you may want to move on. Look at all the tractors in your area. Ask the dealer if they will offer free pick up and delivery for any warrenty issues. Some dealers offer mobile service so they can make simple repairs and do maintainence work right on your property.

Bob,

I might be mistaken but I believe the new models are the TC-31 and TC-34. The 29 and 33 were discontinued to the best of my recall. Just thought I'd chime in.

Opps, Tom you are correct, the old TC29 was given a couple extra horses and is now the TC31, not the TC32. The tractor is basically the same machine, just a few refinements and the added horsepower. The same is true for the old TC33 as it evolved into the new TC34. Sorry, I do try to be accurate! There is no such thing as a TC32, it is correctly the TC31DA.

I actually prefered the TC-35 shuttle shift dollar vs. donuts but that's just my HO.
The TC-35 is the next frame size up and is physically a larger machine than the 29/31/33/34 . . . it is even roomier, uses an ever stronger loader, etc.

If you buy the Kioti skip the Kioti loader (they crack) and see if you can get a Woods loader, a Koyker (if they make one that fits the ck30) would probably be a better loader than the cracking Kioti loaders as well. There is a thread detailing all the loader cracking issues and Kioti is just now admitting there is a problem with their loaders. The ck is a good, heavy tractor. Good luck.
