Dan, my hour meter plodded along when I got my machine and then all together stopped. I installed an aftermarket hour meter (from EBay) so I could perform maintenance at the prescribed hour intervals. It's pretty cheap to do and then you don't have to worry about the accuracy (or lack of) on your dash mounted meter.

Hopefully, when you changed your fluids, you did the filters as well.

You said you worked the machine for six hours over the weekend so you must have something on it. What attachments did you get with it? We love pictures!

I did not get any implements with the tractor, it is just a bare bones tractor that I was planning to use so I dont scratch up my John Deere while cleaning up some woods on my property. I had been looking for a kubota b7200, but I think this is the same tractor. This is my first gear drive tractor, and I think I kind of like the crudeness of it. My John Deere is a 3520 cab tractor and I almost like running the open station gear drive better. I am sure that will change, but the little Kioti seems so bullet proof. It really feels like it is well made and a tough little tractor.
Yes, I did change all of the filters, except the transmission filter. It is metal, so I just cleaned it with some gas and blew it out really good then re-assembled it. I dont have a manual for it, so I had to do my best guess (the capacities are on the bottom of the removable hood section) for all of the drains. It was not a bad job, and I enjoy maintaining equipment anyway. I will work on getting some pictures up, but I do not have any to post at this time.
If anyone has a manual for an lb1714, I would love to get a copy somehow.

Did the hour meter you put on your Kioti replace the existing hour meter, or was it an additional hour meter?

The old one is part of the dashboard assembly and appears below the RPM gauge. That said, it's still there, but doesn't move anymore.

I installed a new meter about knee height below the dash. It's protected from the weather there as the section below the dash angles inward. I cannot see it while in the operators seat, but I really don't care as I usually check it before and after I use the machine. I've noticed that some of the new ones on EBay are digital. Personally, I prefer analog, but I'm way behind the times (although not as far as Egon

Hi Dhaug. My LB1914 has different tyre brands rear and front. I cannot remember both names (Korean?) and if you want to know, you'll have to wait as I need to go out to check this and ... it's raining over here

I also noticed that the rubber on the gas pedal is worn out on one end, to the point you can see the metal below.

Please post pictures of your tractor, I've never seen an LB1714.

I have the manual for the 1914. I could make a copy for you but I don't know how similar are both tractors.

Dan - are you in Kansas and is the machine listed above the one you bought? I'm thinking NO as the paint sure doesn't look faded. But, I noticed the front & rear tires look different. Curious!

I haven't located an owner / operator manual for the machine but you can get a parts manual from a couple of sources (~ $30). Here's the links:

If you really need the other manual, perhaps Kioti (main office in NC or any dealer) can help. I was able to get one from them for my LK3054.

Thank you for the link! It look pretty similar to the LB1914. I guess that they are the same tractor, except the two HP's ...

The tractor you saw on ebay is the same tractor and the price you saw is what I paid. I have put a few more dollars in it and I think stating the $4000.00 price is about where I will end up after all maintenance is caught up and I fix the bent side up. the tractor does look good in those pictures, but it doesnt show quite as good in person.

I use the tractor with a woods 5 foot rear blade (a light one) and a king cutter 5 foot finish mower. I use the finish mower for trim work and in the woods to clear weeds and make a clearing.

I would really love to get a copy of your 1914 owners manual.... should I just put my fax no. here on the forum?

thanks that makes me feel a lot better to hear that these tractors may have had different tires on the front and rear.
