That is on the website (the hidden page title) you are pointing to, it has nothing to do with you or TractorByNet.

If you 'Go Advanced' or even 'Edit' your post, you will see the link and at the end of it are the words that appear underlined in your post. You can change that to anything you would like. So where it says 'Moved Permanently' you can manually change that to 'Shell Spirax' (purely as an example).

Hummm.... looks like I waited to long to be able to edit. I don't see the 'edit' button anywhere on my former posts.
I'll remember that for next time though. But at least the links are workable.
Thanks!

On our DK series tractors it say 400 hours interval on the fluid changes.. I think your Shell product would be a good safe premium fluid for you to use as it is one of the specified fluids in the manual for my DK35se.

As for the web links, I cant tell you why they say that, but I have seen that before. Anyway your links work just fine.

I follow the Kioti manual and change fluid at every 400 hours. I do the filters at every 200 hours per the manual also.

200 hours for filters and 400 hours for fluid + filters was what I was thinking. But was curious if that was the consensus or if it should be earlier.
Thanks for the Replies!

I have my fluid ordered, so it should be here in a few days. That is the last item that I needed to be able to do a Complete Change for All fluids & filters. So I should get it done late this week, or early next.

Today, I took the 4 screws out of the dash, and pulled the dash up to look under it, and found that there was a huge old mouse nest that had filled the *Entire* Cavity behind the dash and the top of the fuel tank. It looked like it had been in there for at least a couple years.
After cleaning all of that out, I found my 'wiring problem', which is why I took the dash apart in the first place. A mouse had chewed the tape off the 3 wires that go to the turn signal switch, and had eaten about 1 inch of one wire. I touched the exposed ends of that wire together just to test, and my turn signals worked as well as my tail lights. So I am going to fix that properly in the morning, with a short wire extension, solder, shrink tubing, and some good electrical tape.

The previous owner knew that the lights didn't work, but never bothered to find out why.....
I will most likely never drive this tractor on the road, but I still want them in working order.

It is just beyond me how people pay big $$$ for a tractor, vehicle, lawn mower, or whatever... and Never bother to keep it up and do proper maintenance.
OR they just take it to a dealer or whoever, and just take 'their word' that they did the work they were paid to do, never bothering to check for themselves.....

Anyway, I'll have it fixed soon, and All the maintenance caught up.
After which, I have a lot of work to do and this tractor is going to help a lot.

~Thanks All!

FYI, Chevron Trans-Hydraulic Fluid or THF is a full synthetic fluid thats avilable online or through any Chevron distributor and meets and exceeds Kubota's SUDT specification. I use it in all my tractors because it exhibits excellent cold temperature pumpability, that is, hydraulics work well in below zero temperatures.

It's around 75 bucks a 5 gallon pail.

Best part is, it has a colorant added so you can see it on a dipstick.

Hello 5030!
From your experience, its sounds like the Chevron THF would also be a great fluid to use, and just a bit cheaper too.

Colorant might seem like a small thing, but I personally like colored fluids too.
We have a 2 1/2 ton truck which had a brake fluid reservoir under the floor board. You had to open a little door, and unscrew a plug to check the brake fluid..... So to make it much easier to check (and to check it more often) I added a semi-clear brake fluid reservoir from a car and run the line up into the engine bay and mounted the reservoir on the wall. Well when I filled it with regular DOT 5 brake fluid (as this truck uses DOT 5 unlike most vehicles), even in my semi clear brake fluid reservoir, it was still really hard to see the level and I often pulled the top to look inside.
Later on, I found a DOT 5 brake fluid that had a dark blue colorant added, and that made all the difference! Now anyone can just glance at it and see if it is up or not.

Anyway, didn't meant to run on there....
but I'll have to keep the Chevron Fluid in mind for my next fluid change.
Thanks for the Info!

I use mine year round. Sometimes 90'F and then six months later, 0'F. Never seen the oil look like it was degrading but I never sent it in for an analysis. I had cut open the two hyd filters from curiosity and they were barely dirty. I think the 200 filter, 400 filter and oil is staying on the safe side.

Mice can be a pain. I had one chew the wires for my fuel sending unit on top of the tank under the hood. Now I just leave the top of the tank a little moist with diesel and they leave it alone.

I switched to Chevron THF some tractors (I think 5 or so, ago). It has excellent cold weather flow properties and it's relatively inexpensive but the colorant is a big plus IMO.

Just received my oil order today...
However I Didn't get what I was expecting.

I ordered Spirax S4 TXM.....
but instead I received old dusty boxes of Donax TD... even the gallon jugs inside the sealed boxes are dusty/dirty... :(

Now I know that the Donax TD is still a compatible fluid...
But the point is its not what I ordered, nor what they showed on their website, nor even the order ticket that came on the box.

Just because of this issue alone, in the future I will not be placing any more orders with Keller-Heartt Oil.
As if you place an order with a company, you should get what you ordered. OR the company should contact you to tell you why it will be different, and if you still want the order. Not just send you what they want to.

So....... since I've already waited all this time, and need to get this maintenance done on the Kioti...
I guess I'm going to go ahead and wipe all the dirt off the jugs and use it.

But I am now wondering:
Is Spirax S4 TXM just the "new name" for Donax TD?? So they just sent me the oldest stuff they had....

Or is Spirax S4 TXM the Newest Version using newer better base & additives making it a Better latest updated fluid of this series??? And they still just sent me the old stuff that they couldn't sell at full price to their walk in customers...

According to Shel ,the S4 TXM replaced TD. But oil companies change their formulations all the time without changing the product name. So Shell only knows for sure. Since Donax TD was originally spec'd for your machine by Kioti, you should be fine. Some of the older formulations were actually better because everybody is pinching pennies these days. But the seller should have communicated with you on the switch and given you the option to cancel.

Correct, the manual spec'd Donax T-4 which was later replaced with Donax TD. So it is still the correct fluid for a Kioti LB1914

Some of the older formulations were actually better because everybody is pinching pennies these days.

I hadn't thought of that, but you are right. So who knows, maybe the TD is better :confused3:

Thats what irked me more than anything :smiley_aafz:
Any good business always has good customer communication. In my experience, if they don't have good communication, its because they really don't care what you need, but rather you are just a $ sign. They just want to push something off on you and move onto the next person in line.
