Kioti LK3054 Alternator Generic Replacement

The direct alternator replacement for a Kioti LK3054 is the alternator for a 1979 Mazda B2000 truck. This alternator is a Mitsubishi and is identical down to the 4 pole pigtail plug. (You might need a shorter belt, however the belt on my tractor may have been plenty stretched due to it being an original 1997 belt.)

This alternator was $60 at O'Reilly Auto Parts, the parts store where the guy behind the counter figured out what would match.

Very interesting. Kioti OE alternators are quite expensive (like $500!!!).

Is this for a later model LK3054 (like G265- serial number?) If so, that alternator (Kioti #E7230-64012) will also fit many other Kioti models (like my DK45s) and I would recommend making this thread a sticky post. The older (F265- serial numbers) could have had one of several different (part number) alternators, including this E7230-64012. I cannot tell if this was just a part number change or if the alternators were really different.

I can not speak to the later models. The 3054 it did work on was a 1997 model.

My LK2554 stopped charging after several years of flashing. I went to my local parts house and bought a alternator for the 79 Mazda and it was the same except the pulley is a little smaller. Had to get a 40.5" belt to work.

I also had to get a new voltage regulator. I got one for a 1970 Toyota truck and it had the same plug and bolt pattern.

System is charging and no more flashing light! :cool2:

depending on it's output, the original alternator can be replaced with a higher output alternator if needed. OE tractor alternators tend to be low output..

No Sir. The Toyota voltage regulator will replace the one from Kioti. I used the Mazda alternator.
