Kioti LK3054 Run time Hours

Wow, according to kioti the motor will run for 5000 hrs before first rebuild is needed.

I read somewhere in this forum that a gentleman had a kioti with a kubota motor. In the early 80's Kioti was known as Daedong manufacturing they were manufacturing some of the "L" series tractors for Kubota. Kubota and Daedong supposedly had a falling out in the late 80's and that was when Kioti was giving life. My 1995 Kioti has a kubota motor according to the supplied service manual when purchased new. Regardless the tractor is well built machine throughout.

These Kioti / Kubota rumors have been around a long time - there is no connection between these two manufacturers. Kioti is the US brand name for Daedong. I seriously doubt your Kioti has a Kubota moter in it! I know my LK3054 has a genuine Daedong engine! Take a look at the Kioti web site, they give some background, and also info on their engines.

Oh yeah - I've got 49hrs on my LK so far, and I love it. I've got a whole pile of work lined up now, so I'm going to be racking up the hrs for the rest of the summer!

The Daedong Corp has been making diesel engines since the late 40's. Yours should have a Daedong engine as I don't think they ever put Kubota in them. Could you possibly scan a part of your manual, or take a picture? What model Kioti do you have?

Yes, I would love to see that myself. Especially since this is a 1995 model made exclusively by Daedong. They have been manufacturing diesel engines since 1949, and tractors since the 60s. Kubota and Daedong both deny any previous or current realtionship. I'd love to see it in writing. John
