Two are now on my DK-40 and have been for some time. If the filters are clean there is virtually no restriction to air flow. If they were both plugged with dirt/dust it would be a different situation regarding restriction of air flow. Let's remember we're talking diesel here, so with compression ignition engines there is plenty of compression to draw air into the engine by the mere fact that the engine is running.
As stated by others, having a second filter as a belt and suspenders approach is a good thing and adds a layer of protection to one's expensive tractor, regardless of brand.
