Kioti oil change type of oil, Transmission fluid

I use the Rotella 15w40. And Traveller UTF.

If you don't know the age of the Hydro Fluid I guess you should change it. Kioti says every 400 hrs.

I changed mine at 400 hrs even though the old UTF looked pristine when it came out. Better safe than sorry I guess.

I use Rotella T 15w40 year round and my tractor calls for Donax TD with has been replaced by Spirax S4 TXM which is the same as the Rotella T HD hydraulic tractor fluid sometimes sold at Walmart. Spirax/ Donax, Rotella tractor fluid is a 10w30 multigrade hydraulic oil.

Hi,

Use factory filters and put Rotella T6 5-40 full synthetic in the engine and Kubota SUD2 synthetic trans/hyd fluid in the transmission and you will be pleased.

I've used the Shell Rotella 5w40. That would be a far better choice than 10w40, centainly better than that 15w40 crap they seem to be wanting to foist upon us.

A far better choice would be a good 5w30 diesel oil. That's what I use in both my tractor and Isuzu diesel generator. Would use 0w30 if I could get it in diesel (can online, but that's all, at higher cost, etc.).

I was talking about engine oil, but if they specify 10w40 for your UTF, the same comments apply. I'd CERTAINLY want the lowest xxw__ for a UTF.

Mobil 1 has a 0w30. ESP formula.
