We should know all about it in one week, hopefully, during the National dealer meeting. I saw some picutures one of our mechanics brought back from recent training school at the plant. It is definately a Daedong/Kioti product, the turn signal/ horn button unit (as well as the engine) are from the CK20. Variable drive (no heavy hydrostat like the other orange guys) so should be lighter and (hopefully) a lot less expensive. I think it had fully independent suspension as well, should be a good little unit.
The pics are not good quality, black and white and in a book that says "confidential" information, so I won't scan them and post them here...

My dealer was telling me he thought the price would be right around 9-10 grand. Basically it will be competitively priced with the other UTV's out there. I wonder how the belt drive trans will work. Hopefully it will be well sealed to prevent water from getting in and slipping the belt.

Can't wait to see some pictures!!!!! :)

I have an old Kawasaki Mule with the variable belt drive and had no problems with it. I routinely pull my 4x8' utility trailer loaded to the top of the sides(HomeDepot SnowBear Utility)with oak and maple logs, 6 to 8 inch in diameter, on the flat with no problem. If I have a problem, it's traction, as it's a 2wd unit. I wouldn't worry about the clutch/belt system, so long as they're using a good one

Thanks for the info. That's good to know. I plan on using my new UTV for both work and play so that would involve riding in mud and water. I have a friend that has a belt drive fourwheeler and his belt has slipped a few times during some water crossings.

This is exciting stuff! I am thinking I could sell my Honda ATV and a couple other oldies but goodies and have most of the price covered. Uh oh, I'm getting the fever, I hope my wife does not sense it!;)

My son-in-law was at the Moncton RV show over the weekend and said that Kioti had one of their UTV's there. He said his brother took some pictures, I'm trying my best to get a hold of them.

Steve

As much as I excited everyone including myself, I have to inform you that there were no Kioti UTV's at this show. I specifically asked him if it was a Kubota or Kioti before I posted this as I thought he was absolutely clear on the difference now as he has driven my CK30 once or twice. They were the Kubota UTV's and the new Polaris UTV's that were orange in the photos that I seen. I'll I can say is that we still have an ongoing job to educate people on the difference between Kubota and Kioti orange paint, even after the lawsuit, they're still too close in color. Some people still can't read so I guess color is the next best thing to identify with.

Sorry,
Steve
