Just got off the phone with the Kioti dealer. $15800 for CK15 before July 1st to get in on the free loader deal. That is just a quoted price without any haggling.

I'm not wanting to hurry on this choice, but I may have to jump anyway.

CK15 . . . you mean CK35 right?

I have a Branson 3510 and I love it! I owned 3 Fords, 8-N 9-N and 2000 , all toys compared to the Branson.
I wouldn't buy anything without Shuttle Shift either.
You could not give me R-1s , the R-4s are great especially with FEL.
I put my own rear hydraulic lines on mine and adatped a Jinma backhoe to it. Hoses, fittings, relief valve and QD's under $100.

If you miss the CK35 loader deal I would look REAL hard at the DK35.

Well, I'm a few months out from buying some more iron, and have started to narrow my search.

I have six acres of sand and oak trees, and want something in the 25hp-35-hp range, 4x4 and FEL.

Currently I mow, clear brush, light ground work, some tilling on the hacienda, and sometimes do very light dirt work and shredding for hire. I'll probably discontinue the for hire stuff due to diesel prices, and the need for a heavier trailer for any of the tractors I'm about to list.

Today I've looked at:

Kioti CK 30 and CK 35. Both have shuttle shift, 4x4 and KL130 loader. I do not know if the loader has the refit kit. Dealer is about 30 mins from me. He gave me a rough quote of over $18,000 for the CK35, closer to $20K, but he was trying to pressure me to come in before the end of the month for the free loader deal on the CK 35, so that price might come down. I really liked the look and feel of both machines (though I did not actually run either today.) I liked the postion of the loader control, and I've always liked shuttle shift.

Branson 3510i and 2910i. Both have shuttle shift, 4x4 and loader with skid steer style bucket. Dealer is a little over an hour away, is a small dealer, and pretty new to the Branson line. Quoted me for $18,000 for the 3510i that was sititng on the lot, though if he had to order more, the price might be higher. Also told me that it would cost me about $200 extra to have R1s put on the machine, which seems backwards to all my research. Really liked the feel and fit of the machine, reminds me alot of a mini version of a case 580 backhoe... Except I do not like the postion of the loader controls.

JD 3005. Gear, 4x4, 300 loader. Dealer is very establised, and about 30 mins from home. I've ran the 790, so I pretty much know what to expect from the 3005. Wished it had shuttle shift, liked the postion of the loader control. Dealer tried to talk down having rear remotes installed and top and tilt, dunno why. Quoted $15,000.

Overall, I liked how high the Kioti sat (though underneath did not seem as well protected as I liked) I really liked how wide both the Kioti and Bransons are. I know it is not quite fair to compare the JD 3005 to these, but that is what the dealer had. To be fair, I should be comparing to the 3320, which according to Deere.com goes for around $22K with 300 loader. I did not do any haggling on the prices, as that I'm still about three months from making a deal anyway.

Anyway, any thoughts or hands on knowledge of these machines?

I have a 790 and if you can live with a non-syncronized gear transmission and no cab it is a great tractor expecially for the money. As far as I know JD doesn't have a TNT for this tractor. I put a TNT and a hydraulic angle for my front blade on myself using the Power Beyond kit from JD and a valve on the right fendor. It works very well.

I looked at Kubota, NH and Kioti last fall when I was looking for a new tractor and when it came down to it I ended up going with the Kioti DK40SE. It was the most tractor for the money and the dealer was the closest. It did not help Kubota that the closest dealer in my state I had a terrible service experience with on my prior kubota. I loved the NH, but they were just out of my price range and JD was waaaay tooo expensive. I've got over 60 hours on my Kioti and I am VERY pleased with it.

- I think quality wise the order is JD, Kioti, Branson, with the Kioti not being far enough behind the JD to matter for personal use. All brands have their issues, the biggest factor for me is the dealer behind the tractor. In my area the Kioti was about $6K less expensive than the JD... so that is what I got and I have been happy with it. Also both the JD and Kubota dealers were less than responsive to my questions and a bit arrogant. I do wish my loader had a little more lift. But then again I have an oversize bucket and QA added so that puts it at a 200 pound disadvantage for lifting heavy material.
- On the Kioti FEL, look at the loader arms, if the torque tube goes totally through the arms... then it is the new style loader... no issues. If the torque tube only goes through the inside of the loader arms and does not go all the way through the arms... then that is the old style and could be subject to cracking. Mine is the old style, has the bracket on it... so I don't know if it is cracked or not. Works good so I don't care at this point.
- My GUESS is that the CK35 is going to be replaced/fazed out and that is why they are trying to move them by offering the free loader. It is a heck of a deal, and if you are comfortable with the machine AND the dealer... that is the direction I would go.
- Top-n-Tilt just need rear remotes, my tractor already had one rear remote and my dealer charged me $350 to put on the second. He said that is the cost of parts and since I was having it done before delivery he would not charge extra labor. It is not a terribly big job to do yourself, just need to pull fender, a cover, a few hydraulic lines, unbolt existing remote, add in new one, replace existing remote... put it all back together.
