Raw specs can give you an idea of a tractor's performance, but it doesn't tell you how a tractor fits you. You really need to see both beasts up close and personal. Without kicking the tires, grabbing a hold of a steering wheel, and messing with a vehicle's controls you really can't get a feel for the machine.

If a person chooses a Kioti over a Kubota or vice versa and is happy with the tractor, why worry about buyer's remorse? Be happy you now have a YOUR tractor (or get to drive the bank's tractor for a few years before it really becomes YOURs)!

I admit, I have my preference based on my experiences and my needs. Those two things are not the same for everyone and so everyone doesn't need to buy the same exact make and model tractor as mine.

If you are happy with your 2002 DK65S and it has done everything you've asked of it, then why worry about a M6800? It is a moot point. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif Don't worry, be happy!

I apologize for any offense to anyone on either side. I did state that is what I was told and it made very little sense to me. I will say in defense of my dealer, that when comparable apples to oranges among tractors, he would not say anything bad or least bit negative about any other tractor brand and just pointed out positives about Kubota.

Either way, I knew if I posted it I could find out the truth /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif I think either tractors are great tractors and you couldn't go wrong with either one /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

There ain't no right and there ain't no wrong.......there's just the payment book. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

 / Kioti vs Kubota #44
You are right about the payment book.
In another thread a member may have a broken tractor. Kioti does have a drive train warranty in the third year like Kubota . But it only covers PARTS. /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif

Read the Kioti letter in your post. Wonder about the confidentiality part though. The letter is short and politically correct so it leaves a lot to conjecture.
We hardly every are privy to the total agreement. I posted that in an effort to try to show the poster that the problem was in the past and not a current issue.

Retirement being good to you??

I read that thread, I'd not be too happy. Sounds like a heat treat problem with mucho disassembly.

Yes Yes Yes! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
When are you going to retire? /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

The only thing "Bare bones" on the L-3400 is that is has non-extendable 3pt link arms. Other than that its lacking no features... infact, it has a few that other so called deluxe tractors don't have like a hydraulic pto clutch. )

I stand corrected Neil. I feel even better than I already did about my L3400 decision being a great deal all around! I think the extendable arms can easily be compensated for by the addition of a quick hitch.

 / Kioti vs Kubota #49
Soon, I believe. I do have to pay for the M9 after all. Problem with retirement is that I think I'd last about a month and then have to go back to work doing something.

You mentioned extenble lower link arms.
How about telescoping sway bars ?
Tilt steering ?
Rubber floor mats ?
Reclining, suspension seat ?
Shifter on the floor vs beside the operater (gear model) ?
Unsyncronized transmission vs fully sycronized(gear model) ?
Enclosed cockpit vs looking at the transmission directly under the operator seat ?

I oppologize to the many happy 3400 owners. I'm not trying to knock the 3400. I feel it is a nice, strong machine for the $$.
Simply not in complete agreement with Neil's statement..
