From what I can see, it appears to be a nice transition.

SO is very very happy!

just have to make the decision on the wall side,
will probably go with new range/oven, and use the
wall cabinet where the existing small oven is and make
that slide out drawers to pick up that extra storage from
below the cooktop.

just about done, still have a couple little items to do.
had to get creative with the backsplash as the wall
behind the wall cabinets is not plumb, so we had a large
gap between the top of the cabinet and the wall, made it up
with some ceramic backsplash and decorative trim pieces along
the top of the countertops backsplash.

It looks terrific, Dutch.:thumbsup: Do you expect to add GFCI outlets? I think that would be a good choice for any outlet in the kitchen.

. . . and I gotta say this. Now that you've finished the kitchen, you have enough time to take down the Christmas lights, eh? ;):laughing:

hadn't thought about the gfci since the sink is on another island,
but i guess i could put 1 in line on that circuit.

yea, the weather is looking better to take down the lights! and
come to think about it, maybe tonight, but, i still have
huge snowbanks out in the yard. we'll see........
