KK back blade for BX2200

Thanks for the reply. I guess the thread has been resurrected! You know where I might find a "tilt and offset" back blade for my sub-compact? I like the sound of the prices in this old post above. Would love to find something in the 300-400 dollar range...

Got any experience with tilting using the 3 pt hitch? Wondering if that will work.

You can get a rear blade in that price range, but would have to use the telescoping lift link on your 3pt hitch for tilt. I use the 3pt tilt, it gives me as much as I would ever require.

Thanks, MVR. I found a tilt and offset blade at Everything Attachments for 551 bucks that is more suitable for my tractor at Medium Duty Scrape Blades It's a medium duty, 5' with 15 degree tilt increments. It looks like a good, very flexible design. I think I probably go with it if I can't find anything less expensive soon. The one you suggested looks excellent but too big for my little BX.

Really! I'd like to see how that works. Maybe there's a utube video showing how to adjust it like you said. Thanks for that info. Very helpful. Yes, I have seen them in that price range without the tilting function.

 I didn't realize that their medium duty blades offset. Hope that it works out for you. ;)

You just run in or out the adjustable turnbuckle on the right link - if yours is like mine, the left link arm is solid but the right link arm will adjust. Allows you to level (or tilt) an implement, but not nearly as much as the blade you linked to from EA showed. That one looks like quite a versatile blade, and not really a whole lot more money that what you were looking for.

I really don't know the max degree of tilt you get using the adjustable link. I've only ever used the tilt for putting a crown in the driveway, or creating a relatively shallow ditch with a box blade, and it's been enough for that amount of tilt. Certainly more of a hassle adjusting than the EA blade would be.

Edit: Of course, you won't get any offset function this way either, only tilt.

Thanks for that bit of info. I'm thinking I really need to dig something of a trench at the edge of my driveway since there isn't any. Probably the more aggressive angle would be a better choice, like you said "not a whole lot more money" for the versatility. Appreciate your feedback. Now I feel like I'm making a much more informed decision.

Typically the side link adjustment will get you about 10 degrees to the left or right. As far as the tilt goes on the rear blade, while it sounds good to have it tilt a lot, it's not like you are going to tilt it to it's max, put it in the ground and pull your ditch in a single pull. The tractor simple will not do it. So you end up making multiple passes, either in the ditch or if you have a rear blade that you can offset, then you can ditch running along side the ditch. But either way, unless you are doing a very shallow ditch, you will be making multiple passes.

Good luck. ;)
