I've got my CK30 on order and am trying to get ahead of the game by ordering the toothbar from Markham Welding, and was looking for exact inside measurement of the FEL bucket (KL130 60" bucket), since the dealer is 50 miles away, and I stupidly never measured that when I was there.

From the Markham website:

"When ordering a Tooth Bar for your bucket, please measure your bucket 8" back (from the tip of the Cutting Edge ) inside the bucket, then measure all the way across the inside of the bucket (from Side to Side). We will custom build the Tooth Bar using your measurement minus ¼". Please make sure the measurement is correct."

Can any of you CK30/KL130 FEL (cracked & uncracked :p) owner's help me out?

The finished outside dimension on my Markham made tooth bar that is currently disconnected form my KL-130 loader bucket is 59 & 1/2 inches. I use a couple of washers on each side between the bucket and toothbar and it fits perfectly. If necessary, a couple of good wacks with a sledgehammer could make any necessary adjustments on the bucket or toothbar to insure it will fit in. Any slack can be taken up with washers. Markam did an excellent job on mine and I am very happy with both the quality and performance. :)
Good Luck - Steve

I am having trouble posting for some reason. hope this goes through.
I got 60 inches on the money for the inside dimentions about 2 to 3 inches inside the cutting edge. I am looking at buying from Farm equipment 24-7 off ebay. about 300 plus 15 shipping. where you getting yours from ? I can run out to the property and get your measurment if no one posts a reply.

300+ shipping is way more than the markham and there is no real way to improve upon the markham mousetrap.

I measured exactly 60 on the inside when I called in my order. I used a couple of washers since the slop that they intentionally build in would make the mount ears bend out under the bolt load if I didn't use the washers.

Enjoy your call to markham, those gals could sell me on anything.

With the Markham toothbar it is better to be a half inch short than too long. The tabs will easily bend towards the bucket side as you tighten them even if you are off by an inch or so. If the toothbar is too long however you are screwed.

thanks all, that's the info I needed.

On the pricing question, mine was quoted at $231 with $39 shipping to me (NC to OH)

I just went to:

http://www.markhamwelding.com/component/option,com_contact/Itemid,3/

and told them what I was looking for via the web form. They got back to me in a couple of hours with a price. They said they are all caught up with orders, so they can get mine out right away. Ships Wednesday. Woohoo!!

After you get it mounted and play with it awhile, don't forget it's on there.

thanks for the link. just sent off a request. well see what they come back with as far as shipping. remember I am on Maui... i bought some 4 dollar truck handle once and they wanted 25 bucks to ship it. Hopefull he knows Hawaii is still part of the USA and usps charges the same rate.

Good luck, Joe :D :D :D

I find when buying online and then getting it shipped to Hawaii is almost a game in itself - someone will want XXX$ while claiming UPS is only shipper while another company will gladly send it out USPS Priority Mail. I think some companies see shipping as a profit center.

I had an interesting purchase from the Ace Hardware outlet on ebay - charged me $40 shipping. As I had the approx weight, I emailed that USPS was available for the $7.70 rate. The return email steadfastly supported the higher rate yadda yadda yadda. I received the box - USPS - $7.70. As you might guess, it will be a very cold day here in Hawaii before I make another Ace purchase.

Reminds me, I need to call your dealer, RPL, as my 300 service is coming up and I need to order filters.
