Hello folks,

I tried removing my loader for the first time over the weekend and found I could not lower the kickstands. I've never removed the loader in the 3 years I've had the tractor, and my last machine was a Deere 1025R with their auto-park, so I'm not sure if I'm missing a step or what, but I'd rather be safe than sorry.

I read the manual, I've watched some videos, and it seems like the kickstands should just be dropping down, that I should be able to just go ahead and pull them down into the proper position. They will not budge. I figure I'll try again in the near future, but before I try to strong arm it, am I missing something?

Is that the spring loaded style? Which you slide the stand off the hook then pull out. Or the pin style? Where you need to remove the pin?

For some reason, I can't no longer access the Michigan Iron Equip website to check the parts catalogues from this side of the pond.

Pretty sure it's on a spring load.

All the videos I can find are for the KL4030, but I am pretty sure it's the same setup.

Looks like you have to pull on the end plate and not on the entire kickstand like I said before.

Wondering if some love taps would let it slide. Probably just stuck from not being used, ever.

The end plate being the unpainted metal foot? I tried pulling from that, but I must be doing this wrong.

Yes. That's what actually slides off the hook to let the kickstand come down. At first, I thought it was the entire kickstand that slid.

You can try loosening that bolt a little bit and see if it helps. Wondering if the dealer got it a bit too tight to prevent any rattle while using the tractor.
