We went to the dealer on Wednesday. Not the response that we were expecting. We honestly thought the dealer would have been embarrassed, apologetic, and grateful to Wallace. But no. Instead of an apology, we got a quote for two new tires for about $800, plus transportation and installation.

Their position is that it is Kioti's fault and responsibility not theirs because Kioti did not send them a service bulletin that described the correct way to mount rims.

We pointed out that most if not all the damage was done before the tractor left the dealership. No response.

Great little tractor. Not so great dealer.

Time to move up to the next level. That dealer might be changing his mind about who's fault it was to mount the wheels with the valve stems facing inward.

Call Kioti customer service in North Carolina. I've done that, no issue with my dealer, there was a genuine shortage of a specific part which they canabalized from another new tractor to send to my dealer. Just one call did the job.

One other thing, Kioti has been known to eliminate troublesome dealers, if yours has had a number of complaints, they could become a former Kioti dealer.

Your dealer is not only an idiot, but dishonest to boot! Don't let him get away with it.

I don't think you need a service bulletin to know which way the valve stem points.

Especially with the kind of damage on the tire when it was delivered.

Everybody makes mistakes, it's how you own up to them and correct them.

Lets hope Kioti Corporate fixes this.

As bearhawk and the others said; you don't need a manual to mount the tires correctly if they are hitting the loader frame. Something has to be wrong and any normal person could see that. But then the dealer said to grind the frame??? They should have been smart enough to call Kioti and advise they were having a problem and received the proper instructions for the tire mounting. I wonder how many other tractors they sold that have the tires on the wrong way.
Your dealer probably won't give you new tires because it won't be covered under warranty. Kioti probably will tell the dealer it was his fault because of the improper install and he will have to pay for his mistakes. As mentioned, I would call Kioti and advise them of what happened. I think Kioti wouldn't be to happy with someone like your dealer when he is one of their company representatives and it unfortunately appears not to knowledgeable with the Kioti product.

Deal sounds just plain dumb.

With the pictures you have and the dealer mounting the tires with the valves inward (sure to draw a laugh), winning in your local small claims court seems a sure thing.

Maybe even just mentioning it would help.

Thanks to everyone who assisted.

We sent a message to Kioti from their website contact page on July 9th. No response. We sent the same message again on July 24th. The dealer called and left a message almost immediately!. I just spoke with him, and he says he has a pair of new tires on rims. We hope to pick them up later this week.

Great advice from everyone here. Thanks again.

I have the same tractor/loader combo. So far no problems. Then again my valve stems are mounted out.
