Rest in Peace
Northern Tool's web site claims it is made in the USA. Do you think they are attempting to mislead us?
I don't know. All I found in the manual with mine said Taiwan, but maybe they are now made, or partially made, in the USA. Look at the very bottom of this Puma Air USA catalog. Even though I had the same model PK-6060V, back then it was labelled as 6 hp and now as 3 hp. As you can see in that pdf, it shows peak hp as 6 and running as 3. Instead of Northern Tool, I bought mine from an industrial air place that made some of their own compressors as well as the Puma and the guy said they called it an "imitation 6 hp" motor and showed me their true 5 hp motors. But he said they had some of those Pumas running in shops 18 hours a day and never had a problem with one. I bought it because I definitely wanted something that could run continuously for long periods of time for sandblasting, plus I used an air blow gun to sweep out my 40' x 60' shop; never did like using a broom. And I was in the business of repairing mechanics' air tools at the time.

When I had to move back to town and sell the place in the country, I used a real estate salesman who also owned a really nice ranch in the area; obviously has lots of money, and he bought that Puma air compressor from me himself.
