Well we finished our work on Long Island so it was time to take "Bota " back upstate to Downsville N.Y.(200 miles away)
The BX-22 is ready for snow duty upstate.I'm posting a few pictures of the machine on the trailer and how I tied it down to the trailer.
Enjoy the photos

In NYS that is not a legal way to tie down equipment. To be legal you have to use 1/4" grade 70 chain(min) with ratchat binders and cross bind all 4 corners. I just had to buy 4 ratchat binders to haul the L3830 around and be legal doing it.

Can't debate that...but must add...tying down the bucket was a nice touch... /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

All due respect to you
Deerlope, I've never seen anything in writing on tying down a non comerical machine. We will continue using the straps until I get stopped by the state troopers. There are six straps on the machine. You probably can turn the trailer upside down and the machine won't move. I respect your advice but until I see it in writing or a trooper tells me different it will be transported in that way. (always been an outlaw)
Ron, this is the first year with the tooth bar.We only use the bucket for clearing what the town dumps in front of the driveway. The rest of the driveway is done with a walk behind snow blower.
Bill, there's also a 3rd. strap on the rear. (rear hitch) besides the two on the "D' rings.

Can't argue the point with u but was wondering? yesterday i was on the nys thrway and had a tractor trailer pass me, he was haulig a hevy load of steel beams, all tied down with ratchet straps not chains, much heavier than a bx, why would he be exempt from the chains? i am as always confused /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

I would really be suprised if a NYS Trooper even knew the law on tiedowns. I had a Trooper ask me if the thing that the truck towed was called a trailer. Maybe a Trooper who runs a scale car might know. I wouldn't worry too much. There are still too many people around who don't use any tiedowns!
