Ok, here's the outcome....
As I said before, they came to pick the tractor up on a Saturday and took it back to their shop for diagnosis. They had it for about 5 days in all. They determined that the lifter was bad so they replaced all 4 lifters and it seem like it has fixed the problem for the most part. There is still some lifter noise at cold idle and at deceleration, but it is nowhere near as audible as it was before and is non existant at warm idle. Hopefully it will become less and less with more usage. They also replaced the front wheels and tire's with some that are straight as an arrow. They also made good on the seat by replacing it with a new unit...
In all, I would recommend the GT2554 to anyone that's looking for a good riding mover to do 2+ acres. It was defiantly a step up from the GT1550 that I had last year and is well worth the extra $1000.00 as far as I'm concerned. This tractor has WAY more bang for the buck over the John Deere's that I looked at. Don't get me wrong. I like John Deere also, but they didn't have anything to match what the GT2554 has to offer for the price...
All and all I'm very satisfied with the dealers work and customer service since I'm *VERY* picky about my machines. I would also recommend them to others in my area for parts and if your looking for a new Cub since the gave me a he!! of a deal on my mover...
Here's the dealer that I bought from and that also did the service:
