I have cleaned out the bowls in the carb, cleaned the jets, ran carb cleaner thru and changed the fuel filter.

Still would not run without some help. Still no fuel in filter. Took another 4' line, attached to fuel filter and stuck the other end in a gas can, it runs great, very smooth from all the cleaning. So the next step is to replace the fuel line from the tank to the filter. There must be a break/leak in the line that is not allowing the suction from the fuel pump to draw fuel from the tank. Replacing the line will be very interesting since it snakes thru to get to gas tank.

Saga continues, but is winding down.

Thanks again for everyone's input!!

Is the tank above the carb? Did you blow back trough the line going back to tank, take the gas cap off before you do this. . Is there fuel at the fuel pump. Bypass the fuel pump and let gravity fill the fuel bowl, and try that for a few minutes. If you had a leak in the fuel line, you would know it. You must have a stopped up fuel line or blocked off tank. You can test both of these if you take off the the line at the fuel pump. if gas flows, there is no stoppage. How full is the tank? Some of the tanks have a riser in them with a screen to help keep out crud and water.

Is there a fuel shut off valve under the tank, and if so, is it open all the way.

If you would like to talk by phone, send me your number via PM.

Done deal!

Had a bad fuel line, had several places that had cracks in the line. As soon as I hooked up a new fuel line I cranked the engine several turns and it ran like a fine tuned motor!

JJ;
I appreciate all your input, I did follow several suggestions you gave me and now the whole fuel system on the tractor is clean and will run good this season. I also understand a lot more about the motor on my tractor and the fuel system!

Thanks Again for everyone's input!!

Congrats.

How old is it? I might better check my lines, I wouldn't expect them to be bad this quick.

It is a 2003 model 3204.

I found it really hard to believe the line cracked like it did. We do have fairly harsh winters here; live 40 min south of Green Bay. $6.00 for the line, but then found a few other parts that I am replacing now that I found issues with. The front PTO double pulley is bent up pretty bad for some reason, can't figure that one out, that is a $50.00 bill min. from what I am seeing even ordering on-line. Going to try heating it up and trying to straighten first before buying a new one.

Good tractor all in all!!
