I have a Kohler 18 RESL whole house 18 KW unit with a problem. The control panel does not respond when switched to run. I thought it was a starter problem but the new starter ($150) acts the same. Machine has less than 50 hours run time and 75% of that was exercise. Battery and everything else checks out perfectly. The nearest so called expert is 50 miles away and does not return phone calls. I have ordered a new replacement generator. ($6000).

If you were not so far away I would have interest in it but Ohio to ID is a long way.
