I think my kt-17 might be kaput...shaking...puddle of oil...low power!
So I found a kohler magnum 18 on craigslist for $300. Bought it without really knowing how replaceable it's going to be. My mechanical skills are not great, but I really don't know much about the electrical part of it.
comparing I see that the kt-17 has a coil, the m18 doesn't. the front shaft of the m18 is 1 in, don't know what the kt-17 is.
Will it work? BTW, the guy started it on the garage floor...sounds great!
