Korean tractors

Dave, When you look at NH check out the TC30. Great metal tractor at a great price. Much more comfortable than the older style JD. If checking Korean, I wouldn't leave out Kioti. I would start with the DK35 as the lesser models have an uncertain future due to being replaced with brand new models in a few months. You might get a steal of a deal on an LK30.
Good luck with your search

Buy the Branson it beats the other brands hands down on finish, drive-ability, warranty and its pretty. LOL it's woth the 100 mile drive. My two cents of opinion.

Take a look at the Power Trac tractors. They are all wheel drive and one of them has a 30 hp Deutz diesel and are made in USA for a good price. There are many attachements that you can put on these things like the mower, brush hog, loader etc.

Here is the web site:

I have had my Mahindra 2810 for about 6 mths now no problems, very happy with the tractor, i can't think of any bad about the tractor. Would highly recomend one, layout is excellent. The John deere 990 i would stay clear of and go with something korean with shuttle shift and open platfrom you'll be alot happier.

Does anyone think I'd be pushing it if I went to a 6' brush hog instead of 5'? (28hp). I'm just maintaing a pasture, not creating one.

I run a 6' BH behind my 2810 with no problem. I don't think an extra foot is as important as how hard you push it - you can strain a 28hp tractor with a 4' BH if you run through 5' tall grass in high gear or run it over stumps.

My pasture was already cleared but had not been mowed in many years. I mowed slow on the first cut so I wouldn't bog down the tractor but I can fly around it now.

Schultz,
The Power Trac Tractors look cool. And I like the made in USA thing. But it doesn't seem to have a 3 point hitch ?? How would I pull a plow or disk with it ? I aasume everything mounts on the front ?

It doesn't have a 3pt hitch. They are not the best thing for pulling plows or disks. Everything mounts on the front loader arms. They are fantastic for FEL, mowing, brush hogging, snow plowing and garden tilling. You can get backhoes for them as well. If you were going to be plowing alot of earth, I'd opt for a conventional tractor with a 3pt hitch. If you were a landscaper or typical home or estate owner, I'd take a serious look at the Power Trac. Lots of bang for the buck and over 30 attachments available. Of course, I'm biased /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

For a fun look at the Power Trac PT425(smaller than the 1430) click here. It is a link to my personal homepage, complete with photos and videos of our machine.

Also, be sure to check out the Power Trac Forum here at TBN. It is full of information about these amazing machines.

MossRoad,
I like their looks and have checked up a bit on them this afternoon. They look like they would be great for loader work and snaking logs out of the woods. Would like to have one, but would have to get rid of a tractor to buy it. sigh... Just love my tractors too much I guess. And I do quite a bit of ag work, so tractors are best for me. I guess a person cannot have too many toys err tools :)

I agree. While it could pull a plow, you would have to drive backwards and that would be no fun. For most other stuff, it is a great machine. It fits my needs just right. /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

As far as having too many toys,... is that possible? /w3tcompact/icons/tongue.gif
