Koyker 160 joystick boot replacement

After almost 3yrs I finally got back in the drivers seat to do some much needed work. The first thing I did was raise the FEL and the boot split right at 1 of the creases and it needs to be replaced. I've looked on the net and I found 1place so far but there $35+shipping is a bit out reach for a boot. Has anyone found a cheaper replacement? If someone has can you share where you got it?

Mine split too, sounds like it's not an uncommon problem. What I did however, was to rotate it around - so that the split was at the bottom. Then I used a 12" cable tie down at the rectangular end that (a) held the split closed and (b) held the boot in place over the hardware underneath.

Mine split too. I made one with some tanned moose hide I had laying around. Cheap and works great!
