Koyker 160 Level Indicator??

I have one of these on my tractor and would like to know what kind of bucket level indicator any of you have for it. I would just love to get some sort of an idea before I try and come up with something by myself. It must be age cause I cant tell when that bucket is level with the ground to save my keester.

Not sure what the Koyker indicator consists of, but my Deere indicator is simple, and is a marked rod that protrudes through a hollow tube. When the mark (placed there when the bucket was level on the ground) is at the top of the tube.

Of course, when the bucket is off the ground, the level indicator is not calibrated. I use it often for position of forks as well as the bucket.

Do you have something else on the Koyker? Pic if different would help.

I assume that you mean level front to back and not side to side.

I often use a Koyker 155 and had the same problem until someone pointed out to me that the flat 4" top of the bucket is parrallel to the bottom of the bucket. If you can eyeball that top part you know what the bottom is doing.

This picture might help, its not anything to do with side to side anything. Just when the bucket is level with the ground for scooping dirt, and its to hard to gage the top part of the bucket even though I know its level with the bottom of the FEL.

I've had it for a week so far. But when we were out shopping for tractors the 1 and only 1 I was on had this little rod that would poke up thru this hollow tube. When the rod just poked thru you knew the bucket was level. I just would figure that someone would point me in the right direction as far as an add-on or a site on how to make one, or give mew some sort of an idea as to what I can do to make one for myself. Its just I would think something like that a person could just buy from somewhere, there has to be alot of folks with FEL's out there that probably ran into the same situation as I am.

This site says they have level indicators, but I'm not sure if they sell them for all loaders.

You have the idea right. Just a rod poking through a hollow tube. Fasten the end of the rod to the linkage between the lower and upper connectors to the bucket (see white line on attached pic from your loader). The hollow tube is at the upper end, and fastened to the loader arm below the upper pivot point and the lower point. The rod moves within the hollow tube as the bucket moves.

I have a Koyker 160 and I do the same thing. After using it you get used to keeping the top of the bucket parallel with the ground by eye balling the the top plate of the loader. When I try to scoop gravel dirt etc. I curl the bucket down and with down pressure listen to the tractor motor and as the motor starts loading up I curl the bucket slowly as it starts filling with whatever I'm trying to fill it with.
