Hi, I just bought a used YM1601D and have noticed problems.

The loader bucket control acts funny - sometimes when I pull up on the lever (to make the bucket arms go down) it goes *up* instead. If I jiggle, it starts going down again.

Also, the arms go up fine, and the bucket swings forward to the ground just fine. But when I lower the arms, or rotate the bucket backward to the tractor, the engine bogs and wants to die (or dies if I don't rev it a little). There is no weight on in the bucket and I'm not steering or moving or operating the 3 point hitch at the same time.

One other thing, there is an oil leak somewhere under the seat (on the ground below the tractor).

One more little thing.. the key doesn't like to turn in the ignition. It acts like a poorly cut copy. I've tried putting oil on it and that doesn't work.

Any suggestions before I contact the dealer?

If you have a warranty . I would contact dealer. You may (depending on the warranty) void your warranty.Could be something wrong with the joy stick/ control valve, or, the way it's plumbed

I agree. I think I'd ask to return it. If this is a quality dealer that shouldn't be a problem and selecting a different tractor from this dealer may be okay. If you don't like the dealer I think I'd shop elsewhere.

It was me. I had the three point hitch control in the full up position, and even though the tractor wasn't straining, the lift was still trying to go up a tad. Once I backed the hitch down a few inches the bucket worked like it should.
