Kubota 1850/1860/1870 buying

What do you all recommend for a deck - the 48" fine cut or the slightly larger regular cut? I can get either one for about the same money and I have room around the property for either one of them just not sure which is "better" or why?

I had a 48" on my old JDX485 and a 54" on my old BX1860. Get the 54" deck. It was very hard to trim with the 48" deck since it barely stuck out on the left side (trimming side) on a tractor the size of a BX or JDX series (about the same size). I think the BX is 45" or 46" wide, so a 48" deck is just slightly larger, though I think the deck is a bit offset to the trim side. Unless you have an unmovable object requiring the 48" deck, go with the larger one. Better resale too, if that's a potential concern.

I have the 48" deck. No problems with edging up close. I am very disappointed In blade selection. I have the non-fine cut model. I think the fine cut 48"and the 54" have better selection. I dont like being limited to kubota blades only. Wish there were aftermarket options.

I have Oregon 3-1 fusion after market blades on my 60" deck. Have you checked their site for replacement blades?

I emailed oregon tech support and they said they didn't make any for my deck.
I haven't measured them or even looked at them.
